Resilience and Kindness: Our Reasons to Celebrate

By December 29, 2023No Comments

Many of us found it hard to celebrate and rejoice since the events of October 7th, yet we have so much to celebrate as 2023 comes to an end.  This year was extremely difficult, but we want to focus on celebrating the incredible strength, resilience and kindness we have seen in the past few months.

We want to celebrate the spirit of ELEM’s people – our colleagues on the ground in Israel. The challenges were never greater, but ELEM’s staff, and existing and new volunteers were up to the task.

By October 9th, we already had two emotional support pop-up spaces up and running to provide immediate aid for displaced youth. By November 27th, 16 spaces in 10 different locations were operational, and there’s more to come.

We would be remiss not to mention that ELEM celebrated 40 years of saving lives in 2023. You showed up for us, and provided more support for Israeli youth than ever before, which is why we’re celebrating you, too. You, our supporters  help make the life of Israeli youth and young people at-risk a bit brighter every day.

Our emergency efforts continue into 2024 and you are welcome to donate here or here.

Happy New Year, and may it be safe, healthy, and joyful.
