Months after the devastating events of October 7th, survivors of the Nova Festival and the terror attacks in southern Israel are still suffering in silence. Despite the vast scale of the trauma, a third of Nova survivors—approximately 1,200 young people— and countless more from the South, are not receiving the care they desperately need, with devastating results.
In response to the alarming data about survivors, the Israeli government reached out to ELEM to form a plan: create new, wider, therapeutic options, and connect these resources to the survivors in need.
In collaboration with Yated (American Jewish Joint Distribution Committee), the Ministry of Welfare, and the Tribe of Nova Foundation, ELEM has launched a specialized program to identify and support survivors of these tragedies. This initiative will provide life-saving, trauma-informed care to the highest risk survivors.
Anashaim Tovim, ELEM’s harm reduction team, along with ELEM digital experts, will actively seek out survivors in need, through unique algorithms, peer networks, and showing up on the scene. Our professionals, experienced in trauma and substance-related issues, are committed to providing hands-on assistance to hundreds of survivors, connecting them to lifesaving care and showing them that they are not alone.
Your support is vital to ensuring that no young survivor of trauma falls through the cracks. Donating today to help ELEM continue this urgent work.
