ELEM’s Jerusalem based Activist Community – The Lifechanging Dames, have been placing boxes with tampons and sanitary pads in public restrooms across Jerusalem.
Why?
Because they remember what it’s like being in need of the most basic items in addition to dealing with risky situations such as homelessness and addiction, and they want to make the world a better place.
Our Activist communities in multiple cities in Israel are made of women who are former ELEM youth. They may have graduated from our programs for youth, but they’re not done improving the world and promoting issues that are important for struggling young women and girls.
