Restoring Hope: Trauma-Informed Care For Israel’s Youth in Crisis

ELEM is adapting to address the mental health needs of Israeli youth during a time of crisis. Assistant Director of Clinical Training Renana Danon leads the initiative. In light of this new project, American Friends of ELEM is pleased to host Danon in Michigan and Florida in November 2024. 

Danon, who has been with ELEM for fourteen years, will speak with American audiences about ELEM’s new trauma-informed approach in the wake of October 7th. Danon will share first hands stories from staff and youth in the field, as the nation navigates new and complex forms of collective trauma.

Join the Florida Chapter of American Friends of ELEM for our first Annual Luncheon on Wednesday, November 6th at 11:15AM, in Boynton Beach.   

Hear stories from Israel’s time of crisis about youth, staff, and volunteers, as told by ELEM’s Assistant Director of Clinical Training Renana Danon and ELEM’s CEO Liora Attias. Renana is overseeing ELEM’s initiatives to provide trauma-informed care to its over 12,5000 youth served annually. Kosher luncheon and panel will be followed by a Q&A, and information on how to get involved in this important cause.
