January is National Human Trafficking Prevention Month in the U.S.
In Israel, over 4,000 youth are estimated to be victims of human trafficking, and another 3,000 minors report sexual abuse or assault. ELEM estimates the total number of young victims to be exponentially higher.
To combat these alarming numbers, ELEM operates 6 initiatives across 12 centers dedicated to youth affected by trafficking, exploitation, and abuse. Through these shelters, therapy centers, and outreach programs, ELEM offers life-saving resources and hope to survivors of abuse and trafficking.
