Dear Friends, 

With great excitement, we share that ELEM/Youth in Distress in Israel is now American Friends of ELEM. 

With this name, we reflect our relationship of support, commitment, and unity with our team in Israel and better acknowledge the generous support of you and others like you from here in the US. 

In this challenging year, as our support for Israeli youth demands commitment, we are expanding our activity across the US with the launch of ELEM:NextGen, a new chapter in California, a first annual luncheon in Florida, and this year’s Gala, during which we will welcome our largest audience ever. We are connecting to schools, Hillel centers, education projects, and mental health experts, in addition to hosting two tours with our staff in Israel just this year. 

In celebration, we are introducing American Friends of ELEM Giving Societies. You can read more about the Giving Societies here.  

As American Friends of ELEM, we are committed to making a difference in the lives of Israeli youth and we look ahead to our immense growth with hope and excitement. Please join us with a donation today and show our youth in Israel what we, as American friends, can do.
