With the 40th anniversary celebration coming up (get your tickets here!) we are definitely busy, but we always have time to share our work.
In April, we were part of Global Perspectives:Youth & Mental Health event in the UN. The Romanian Youth Delegates organized this side event during ECOSOC 2023 Youth Forum. It was an incredible opportunity to share good practices with other organizations doing amazing work in the field of youth mental health. Our President, Lenore Ruben, presented some of ELEM’s innovative programs to experts and diplomats from Mexico, Germany, Bulgaria, USA and Romania who joined in person and on zoom.
In addition, a few weeks later our COO, Liora Attias, and Manager of Communications, Chen Drachman, visited Florida. They spoke about ELEM’s work with at-risk youth with the lovely communities at Temple Beth Emet, Aventura Turnberry Jewish Center. One of the best parts was meeting our Florida Advisory Committee! The communities and people we met showed incredible interest in the state of at-risk youth in Israel. We were truly touched.
