Not long ago, we launched our Ambassadors Initiative and they are already doing some incredible work!
In mid October they held a night of live music at the Haven Pomona to celebrate the life of Isabella Saeedy. Isabella passed away after a long battle with cancer. Three sweet friends of hers – Emily, Julia and Francesca decided to raise money in her memory through the Isabella Saeedy Memorial Fund at ELEM. Isabella wanted to do good in the world, and the memorial fund does just that.
A band from Isabella’s school played her favorite songs, along with support from three other local bands. All proceeds from the night went to the fund.
We are thankful for all those who made the evening a success!
In addition, our intern and Ambassador Emily gave a talk last month to Children’s Love, a group of young moms of Chinese descent, who strive to further their children’s education. Emily talked about ELEM’s work as a way to engage the group in Jewish culture and learn more about Israel.
We absolutely love this cultural exchange and working together across communities!
