This week marked a year since Operation Guardian of the Walls. The operation brought to an outburst of violence within mixed cities in Israel, where Arab and Jews live in close proximity.
The recent violent attacks in Israel have driven concerns in Acre that any incident between teens and police officers could lead to total chaos. To prevent the situation from worsening, the city’s youth centers and other individuals joined forces for a unique initiative. The initiative recruited dozens of parents for night tours in hotspots around Acre to de-escalate the violence in the city.
Wared, the Head of ELEM’s Acre Migdalor youth center is also part of this important initiative.
We love seeing communities working together to ensure the city and its youth are safe!
