Today is World Cancer Day. To mark this day, we’d like to throw it back to Fran Drescher, our 2021 LifeSaver Award recipient and friend, with the remarks she gave at our most recent annual benefit.
Fran, a cancer survivor herself, founded Cancer Schmancer in 2007. Cancer Schmancer’s mission is to save lives by transforming the nation’s current sick care system into one that focuses on genuine health care. It does so through prevention, early detection, and very much like ELEM – with fighting for policy change.
Cancer Schmancer also puts special focus on youth and kids’ health, and as Fran mentions in the video below, we all know kids and youth are the backbone.
