WALK B'YACHAD

A WALK TO SUPPORT
YOUTH MENTAL HEALTH
IN ISRAEL

Sunday, October 26th, 8:00 AM
Balboa Park, San Diego

Walk Purpose

Walk B’Yachad is more than just a walk. It’s a commitment to Israel’s future. Our goal is to raise $100,000 to ensure that the next generation of Israelis can grow up safe, supported, and full of hope. Your support will directly fund ELEM’s life-changing programs for youth in crisis, giving them the tools, guidance, and care they need to build brighter futures.

When you join and fundraise, you are helping young mothers create stable homes for their children, ensuring homeless teens have a warm meal and a safe place to turn, and giving every youth in distress access to a trusted adult 24/7. You’re not just supporting a cause, you’re shaping Israel’s next generation of leaders, parents, innovators, and community members.

About the Walk

Join us for a family-friendly community walk to raise awareness about the urgent mental health challenges facing Jewish and Israeli communities, especially among at-risk youth. This walk is held in memory of three brave ELEM volunteers, Lior Hadad-Atias, Sigal Levy, and Yonatan Richter, who lost their lives during the tragic attack at the Nova music festival on October 7, 2023, as they were volunteering at the festival with ELEM’s Anashim Tovim program. Their commitment to helping vulnerable youth continues to inspire us all. All proceeds will be donated to American Friends of ELEM.

Guest Speaker

Shahar Lev Roth

Shahar is the manager of ELEM’s A Real Home program for survivors of sexual abuse. She holds a BA in Psychology and is a certified phototherapist with over a decade of experience working with marginalized populations, including individuals struggling with addictions, at-risk youth, those facing mental health challenges, and survivors of sexual assault.

In the wake of the atrocities of October 7th, when sexual violence was used as a weapon of war, Shahar’s work has taken on an even deeper significance. At A Real Home, she leads a safe, therapeutic space where young survivors of sexual abuse can begin to heal, regain stability, and reclaim their futures. Her expertise and compassion are critical in ensuring that trauma does not define these lives, but rather becomes a stepping stone toward resilience and hope.
